Table of Contents

I’ve been reading some more serious things lately. Reading non-fiction and political theory makes me want to write something. I love Lower Heaven and for sure it is all a reflection our our current times and a navigation through them. But then I read Cory Doctorow and other awesome writers and think I am not being direct enough. I want to write something that helps organizers develop their strategies. I know that’s a crowded field, but I have just seen so many well-intentioned people get lost because there are clear paths to diffuse responsibility for the problems of the world, but not to take it, not in a way that makes people feel good, and gives them a clear path to work for.

There is still a lot to learn before I write this eventual book, but I wanted to lay out the Table of Contents for at least, to give a clear path to myself. Here it goes:

  1. Changing (the shape of) the World)

  2. The World is Broken, A Brief Summary

  3. Theory of a Better One

    • Power Corrupts

    • Decentralization Fails

    • Technology Has a Will

  4. Reorienting to a Local Systems View

  5. Asset Mapping

  6. Developing Parallel Institutions and Records

  7. The Tree of Liberty / Regenerative Organizing Practice
